The novel of the writer Mikhail Rasolov “August Starfall” was published in 2 volumes in the publishing house “Russian Court” (m 1998), a real version of the novel. It truthfully and objectively tells how and why the Soviet Union broke up. Failures of economic and political reforms, the deterioration of people's lives, interethnic discord in the Republics of the August putsch in Moscow, intrigues in the Kremlin... All this exacerbated conflicts to the limit and led to the collapse of the great power radically changed the course of the historical development of Russia and other former Soviet republics.
