Autobiography. Sholomo G.
Rav Shlomo Goren (1917-1994) - one of the outstanding rabbis of Israel.
The story of his life, which began in one of the Jewish towns of Eastern Europe and includes such stages as repatriation in the country of Israel, the entry into Jewish Underground and service in the ranks of Tsagal, reflects the history of the young Jewish state. Rav Goren left a deep mark in it as the main rabbi of the Israeli defense army and the Supreme Ashkenaz rabbi of the Israel state, and later an outstanding law teacher. His works, covering a wide range of Jewish thought, and the independence of his judgments put him on a par with the largest religious leaders of his generation.
