The basis of the famous book of St. Dorotheus (V century; Memory of June 5/18) was his instructions to his students. Avva Dorofei began his monastic feat in the monastery of St. Serida (Palestine, near Gaza), where he fought among the great elders Barsonofiya, John the Prophet and Avva Serid.
