“Babbit” is a satirical novel by an American writer, Nobel Prize laureate, master and expert on the psychology of “Central American” Lewis Sinclair. From the first publication of the novel “Babbit”, the name of the protagonist became the name of the household name in English. The romantic hero was no longer a knight or a cowboy, a pilot or a brave prosecutor-he was a great businessman who knows how to analyze, a hero who devoted himself to one, but a cosmic goal-selling, not selling something defined by someone, but selling a large letters. In 2015, the novel was included in the list of “100 best English -speaking novels” according to Gardian as one of the outstanding works of American “critical realism”.
