Natalya Irtenina is the author of historical novels. The themes of her works are Christian faith in ancient Rus', holy ascetics. The new novel “Bug Rizes” is dedicated to the topic of the feat of the new martyrs and confessors of the Russian Church in the 20th century. The characters of the book are real historical figures affected by the faith and fearless preaching of Christianity in the fever of the Civil War. In 2020, the novel was awarded the title of winner in the competition of manuscripts "New Library", held by the Publishing Council of the Russian Orthodox Church.
