In that issue in one of the stories in the comic book, the Joker first appeared and Va-Bank immediately went: he killed and robbed, his victims were rich, bandits, police and even a judge. The criminal did not think to hide and left his business cards everywhere, as if mocking Batman. Joker even took Robin hostage (this is long before the occasion with a mount). The first phenomenon of a sworn enemy-friend was a real test for a dark knight.

The arrangement of that story did Dennis O’Neill, returning Batman at a time when Joker first challenged him. In the new version of classical history, there are also some references to the comic book Batman: The First Year Frank Miller. Joker gathered the most outstanding scumbags of Gotham, including his cousin Malvin to crank a big business. The gang will intimidate the rich of the city, threatening them with death, and demand a fee for leaving. The plan is so -so, but Joker has innovations, like a special serum, from which it becomes fun to death. Only now Batman has his own plan - he intends to stop the Joker, although they are not even really familiar...

Dennis O’Neill - the real legend of the DC and the comic book world. For many years he worked on a series of comics about Batman, added opponents of the dark knight of colorful characters to the legion - Ra’s Al Gul and his daughter Talia. This is O’Neill, together with Nile Adams in the far in 1971, wrote for one of the releases of the Green Lantern/Green Arrow series the story of Oliver Quinn, Roy Harper, who became a drug addict, shocking at that time.
