Battle for Moscow. Operation of the Western Front on November 16, 1941-31, 1942 B.M.

The book is a military-strategic study of the Moscow Battle based on operational documents, which marked the final collapse of the German Blitzkrieg German strategy and laid the foundation for a turning point during the Second World War.

The work was written in hot pursuit of events by officers of the General Staff under the general editorship of its chief Marshal of the Soviet Union B.M. Shaposhnikova and published in 1943 for official use. Thanks to this, it escaped the ideological layers of ideological layers and later myth -making for Soviet military historiography and retained a purely professional approach to evaluating the actions of the confrontent parties.
