Vasily Grigoryevich Yangvevetsky (V. Yang; 1875-1954) created the historical trilogy “The Invasion of the Mongols” - the novels “Genghis Khan”, “Batu” and “To the last sea”. The novel "Baty" was published in 1942, during the Great Patriotic War. And the author contributed to the fight against the Nazis - he wrote a book about the grandson of Genghis Khan, the brutal tyrant of Batu, who also sought to conquer the "all the universe." The writer showed the struggle of Batu for power, and then the seizure and ruin of Rus'.
