This manual is part of the kit “Until school for six months: we are urgently learning to read”. It will help the teachers of the mass groups of the DOW organize and conduct classes on the training and writing of children of preparatory groups.

The work system proposed by the author is based on the folding method of teaching reading and the positional principle of reading developed by D.B. Elkonin. Work on reading learning is carried out in the following sequence: the study of vowels in pairs; the study of paired in hardness and softness of consonants in the framework of one lesson; mastery of reading through the stock method; use of color characters to designate sounds; work on the preparation of words and sentences; acquaintance of children with a number of grammar-organic rules; The expansion and clarification of children's ideas about the surrounding reality, the enrichment of their vocabulary and the development of speech.
