Behaler's songs. Tolkien J. R. R.
The third volume of the “History of Middle -earth” gives us a unique opportunity to look at the creation of the mythology of Middle -earth through the prism of poetic transfers of the two most significant plots of the Tolkinovsky world: legends about Turin and Lutien. The first of the poems, the grandiose unpublished “Song of Children's Children”, is dedicated to the tragedy of Turin Turammbar. The second, penetrated “Ley O Lithyan”, the main source of legend about Berena and Lutien in the “Silmarillion”, tells of the campaign for silmarils and a clash with Morgot in his underground fortress. Poems are accompanied by comments about the evolution of the history of ancient days. The book also includes a curious critical analysis of Leitian Leitian, K. S. Lewis, who read the poem in 1929.
