Rev. Ambrose occupies a special place among the Optina elders. His love, the gift of reasoning and simplicity attracted to him the ordinary people, and the monks, and the intelligentsia, and everyone in the words of the priest found the required - consolation, resolution of “insoluble” questions, answers to the soul of prosperity and perplexity.
