The collection included the chosen speeches of Joseph Brodsky, created by the poet in the 1980s. This is a speech at the Swedish Royal Academy when receiving the Nobel Prize in Literature, Acts Speech, uttered to graduates of the oldest Williams College in the United States, “praise of boredom”, addressed to students of the famous Dartmut College, as well as “speech at the stadium”, addressed to graduates Michigan University. “Speech at the stadium” is called a speech that changed the world, and the parting words to young people, built on biblical motives, became known as “Brodsky commandments”. In this publication, these texts are presented in English, as well as translated into Russian.
