Betesd classification for cytological diagnosis of thyroid diseases: terminology, criteria and explanation

This Atlas is a guide to the cytological diagnosis of thyroid diseases, which gives a systematic presentation of the classification of Betest, including unified terminology and detailed cytomorphological criteria for classifying thyroid aspirates to one of the six diagnostic categories. This classification was developed and agreed on by the international community of cytologists and pathologists at the conference “Issues of the thin -iginal aspiration puncture of the thyroid gland”, held in 2007 in Betesda (USA), the result of which was the first edition of this atlas.

This book is the translation of the second edition of Atlas; It takes into account the amendments made in the classification of Betesd according to the results of preliminary work and discussion at the International Cytological Congress in Yokoham in 2016
