Big hopes. Dickens Ch.

Charles Dickens - a classic of English literature - a whole era in the development of the national culture of England. The revered worldwide, great love and recognition, Dickens has always used in Russia. F. M. Dostoevsky called him his favorite writer. L. N. Tolstoy placed Dickens novels in the first row of world literature, believing that they meet the main requirements that should be presented to works of art: they have the significance of the content, skill of form, sincerity and “moral attitude of the author to the subject”. In the novel “Big Hopes” - one of the last works of Dickens, the pearl of his work - the Hopes of the Young Philip Pyrrip, nicknamed the Pip in childhood. Pip’s dreams about his career, love and well -being in the “Gentlemen World” are breaking in an instant, as soon as he recognizes the terrible secret of his unknown patron that is pursued by the police. Money painted with blood and marked by the seal of crimes, as Pip is convinced, cannot bring happiness. But what in this case can it? And where will the hero lead his dreams and big hopes?
