The Great Russian -English Sports Dictionary is the first in Russian practice that has gathered the terminology of all sports, including rare and new ones. Particular attention is paid to the Olympic (Paralympic and Surdolimpian) terminology. The author tried, in addition to the special terminology, to give the most complete vocabulary used by sports commentators and journalists, as well as vocabulary associated with the characterization of not only physical, but also moral and psychological characteristics of athletes. This dictionary seems interesting not only to athletes, trainers, scientists, sports journalists, but also a wide range of fans, sports enthusiasts, translators, foreign specialists and employees of international sports organizations.
