The book combines documentary prose written by the father and daughter: “The Experience of the Biography” by Felix Svetov and the “innocent” Zoe Light. Felix Svetov (1927-2002), a writer and dissident, in a novel banned in the USSR and first published in Paris, when his author was already in prison for “anti-Soviet agitation”, finds a new way to talk about his country, about 1920-1970 X years. About the execution of his father, about his childhood of the son of the “enemy of the people”, about adolescence in evacuation, about youth in the era of “thaw”, about God -wisdom, dissidentism and love. Forty years later, his daughter, Zoya Svetova, a journalist and human rights activist, created her documentary story - the history of innocently convicted people and their judges, a terrible story about the society and the judicial system of Russia.

These works are united not only by the surname, kinship of the authors. Showing private fates against the backdrop of a great story, “biography experience” and “innocent” help to better understand how Russia has been arranged for the last hundred years. This is a fascinating reading, inside which is the story of the adventures of free people in a non -free country and the possibility of comfort. As if the authors, father and daughter, echoes and complement each other, telling the general story: about the opportunity to preserve themselves under inhuman regimes and not lose hope in dark times.
