Biography of Vasily Safonov, compiled by his daughter. Safonova M.V.

In the book of the pianists and music teacher Maria Vasilievna Safonova (1897-1989), the life path and diverse creative activity of her father-the famous pianist, conductor, teacher and musical and public figure Vasily Ilyich Safonov (1852-1918) are described in detail. The publication was supplemented by the outline of M.V. Safonova “My father is Vasily Safonov”, the memoirs of her sister A. V. Clipper “House, Family, Childhood” and the outline of the local historian B. M. Rosenfeld “Three Sisters”. The book is richly illustrated, and almost all illustrations were carefully selected by the author himself. The publication is addressed to professional musicians, as well as to everyone interested in the history of Russian musical culture.
