Biophysics: the interaction of the cell and fields
The textbook is devoted to various aspects of the action of physical fields on the vital activity of the cell. The main attention is paid to gravitational and geomagnetic fields as the main natural physical fields on the planet. The first part is devoted to the consideration of possible mechanisms for the primary perception of the mechanical stimulus with various cells. Data on the stiffness of both muscle and unmarried cells, measured using atomic power microscopy. The results are presented on a change in the mechanical characteristics of the cells in the conditions of the altered external mechanical voltage, the initial stages of the transduction of the mechanical signal are considered. A possible mechanism for perception by cells of various external mechanical signals is proposed. The second part highlights the influence of gravity on the embryogenesis of fish, amphibians, birds and mammals with a discussion of possible causes of the development of morphological changes. The third part presents various experimental data on the influence of hypomagnetic conditions on various molecular cell processes. The applications provide information from all parts of the textbook in the form of visual slides.
for students studying in the specialties of higher education “Medical Biophysics”, “Bioenginery and Bioinformatics”, “Medical Biochemistry”, “Biophysics”, etc.. The textbook can be useful to graduate students and researchers working in these areas.
