Black dwarf. Scott V.
Britain at the beginning of the 18th century. England finally officially joined Scotland, creating a single union state. But many freedom -loving Scots are not a newly -minted kingdom. Jacobites, supporters of the royal descendants-executioners, will be built up with their black knives and branders and prepare another Tarars. In this troubled time, a strange creature lived in the lands of the Wild Borderland - either a dwarf or a man who had no shadow. It lived in a swamp, people did not particularly complain. But some sometimes went to him. Because the creature is skillfully healing and conjuring.
The next volume of the “adventure masters” includes Walter Scott's mysterious novel “Black Dwarf”, telling the whole truth about the era of the old Nancy, that is, Queen Anna, the first ruler of Great Britain and The last of the Stewarts genus. The publication complements the author’s collection of mystical stories and legends from the Almanac “Kipsek”. One of them, as well as several preface by the great Scot in Russian, is published for the first time.
