Black holes. Lectures BBC
You have in your hands a collection of Reutov lectures by Stephen Hawking about the black holes read on the BBC Radio 4. It is difficult to imagine who could tell about one of the most mysterious space objects more interesting and easier than a person who has made space with popular science and gave many years of studying effects associated with black holes. Those questions that remained unanswered were explained by David Shukman, BBC scientific editor.
Reutov lectures, or lectures named after Lord John Reit, the first General Director of the BBC, the Enlightener and the popularizer, is a cycle of popular science records. Since the founding in 1948, Bertrand Russell, Robert Oppenheimer, Jonathan Sax and others performed in the studio.
