Subsequently, it gave rise to a colossal literary tradition and became the most important milestone in the history of world literature, one of the most striking works of the Renaissance literature. It was this story that was destined to become a work with which the Spanish Plutovsk Roman began, and - wider - the European novel of the New Age. The central character of the story - a rogue and Antherler - turned out to be such a significant symbol of the era that today neither the national literature of Spain, nor the world literature are generally unthinkable without this text.
