Edward Lear is a wonderful English poet, the author of numerous and all beloved Limerns. Being a successful artist who gave the lessons to the Queen of Victoria herself, he began to write poetry and went down in history as the creator of the new literary genre, still having numerous fans and imitators. Light, playful, game poetry of Lira had the most serious influence on literature: Lewis Carroll was inspired by his work, Daniil Harms called him among his beloved authors, even Kipling, Golsourcy and Joyce, and in the work of poets such as Oleg Grigoryev and the work Henry Sapgir, a lot of Lyr. Oldos Huxley wrote: “There are few people read more than once, and of course, among such authors, Edward Lear.
