Borodin. Bulycheva A.V.
On Alexander Porfiryevich Borodin (1833? 1887), some biographers look at the composer, others as a chemist, others emphasize his role in the development of female medical education. His life is fraught with many riddles, even the present year of birth was established only in the 1920s. Was his father a descendant of Georgian princes or Nogai Tatars? Did chemistry and music really interfered with each other? What were the “clashes” of Borodin with German scientists? Why was he carried away by the mythology of the Western Slavs? Who became his pupils? Many materials that had not previously came into the field of view of researchers (although often they literally “lie on the surface”) allow you to see a new personality in a newly personality and an outstanding scientist.
