The book included the two most famous novels of one of the largest Japanese writers of the XX century. Simadzaki Toson (1872-1943)-“broken Testament” and “family”. The first tells about the carefully hidden ulcer of Japanese society-about the existence of the caste of the “outcasts”, Pariev- ”, the second novel-about the history of two large patriarchal families closely related to each other, decaying together with the old feudal way of life.
