Clifford Donald Saymak is one of the “godfather” of the famous John Campbell, editor of Astunding Science Fiction magazine, where many stars of the Golden Age of Science Fiction lit up. At the beginning of the literary career, Saimak wrote “hard” science fiction and adventure works, as well as westerns, but then pushed the boundaries of the NF genre and created his own style, which critics called the soft, humanistic and even pastoral, comparing Saymak prose with the prose of Ray Bradbury.
