The novel “Bulls for Hekatuba” is a story of friends who initiate a corruption scandal without hope to get out of it winners. They also meet the prophet, get to prison, constantly go astray, and in the process they argue, argue, argue, angry, think, yearn, doubt and argue again. The fact that they say and think is a lot of pathos, which, perhaps, is a screen for something else.

This is a novel-playing: from a runaway and indistinguishable reality, from the stuffy illusion of well-being, from the shame and cynicism of our time. And this is the naval novel, trying to draw a line under the strange period of our history, which was born at the cold dawn of the nineties and either dissolved in the chilly and sticky tenths, or continues to this day. The novel of the essay complements, raising the problem of the subjectivity of modern man. An essay in which there are more questions and vague guesses than clear answers and ready -made recipes.
