Butterflies in the digital museum: Roman. Vrublevskaya G. V.
The director of the Museum of Slot machines Polina Zaitseva is involved in the development of a digital attraction. Wearing a special helmet and glasses, it falls into the familiar circumstances of the personal past, created from old photographs from her album. Meets long -standing acquaintances, finds new ones. Modern technologies help her communicate with these people, feel smells, feel touches. However, this is the meaning of the heroine’s immersion in the past - on the decisive forks of life, she turns the other way, and other options for life live. The past, renewed in thoughts and feelings, affects the character of the main character, on her behavior here and now. Such sessions of “augmented reality” are no longer science fiction, but realities in individual museums and expositions. In the novel, these sessions alternate with the episodes of the current life of heroes: the relationship of museum employees, intrigues, loves and the search for happiness. The main events in the novel are in St. Petersburg in 2019 and 2020.
