The purpose of this collection is to show the methodological and practical relevance in Russia of one of the most influential directions in modern Western intellectual history: the Cambridge school of studying political languages. The book is divided into three parts.

The first part contains fundamental theoretical manifestos created by Quentin Skinner and John Gasok.

The second includes classical texts that discuss the basic methodological principles of the Cambridge School, as well as its ratio with the theory of Begriffsgeschichte and the archaeology of Michel Foucault's knowledge.

The third collected works designed to show the possibilities of applying the “Cambridge” method in the research of key plots of the history of the Russian political language: the formation of a secular language of politics in the XVIII century, idioms and ideas about the property of Ekaterina the Great, the language and the context of publishing the first “Philosophical writing” of Chaadaev, rhetorical moves and arguments in judicial protection of Vera Zasulich, the evolution of the repertoire of republican concepts of virtue and corruption in Russia of the XVIII-XX centuries, as well as historiosophical languages ​​in the work of the “state and evolution” of Yegor Gaidar.
