In the castle isolated from the outside world, deep in the Austrian forests of Styria, Laura leads a secluded life with his father and few servants. The story is told by a young girl, who is hunted by a vampire named Carmilla, later it turns out that this is Mircalla, Countess Carnstein (Carmilla-Anagram Mirchalls).
