Caution: madness! About punitive psychiatry and ordinary people. Foucault M.
In the early 1960s, the famous philosopher and historian Michel Foucault wondered: who are crazy and how the attitude towards them changed throughout history. The result of these thoughts was the fundamental work on history, which strengthened the author’s hypothesis in that the science of insane has always been in the state’s service. And if so, can it be called science? Throughout the history of mankind, not those who are sick, but those who are inconvenient to the state were crazy. The more thoughts, the more likely the fact that the fact of the presence of thoughts will be used as an argument at the reception of a psychiatrist.
The proposed publication is a fundamental sociological and anthropological work dedicated to the study of the concept of norm and pathology. The book became an impulse for creating the so -called “antipsychiatry”, the movement against the system of punitive measures to combat any kind of dissent.
