Chess leaflet 1878-1879. Volume 2 (facsimile gift edition). Chigorin M.I.
The great Russian chess player, the founder of the Russian chess school, Mikhail Ivanovich Chigorin for several years, published magnificent magazines of the Chess Left (1876-1881) and the Chess Herald (1885-1887). He was the main one there, and sometimes the only author. It is unnecessary to say that these brightest examples of Russian chess thought have long been almost inaccessible to the modern reader. Thanks to this work, it becomes possible to get acquainted with our invaluable chess, historical and literary heritage.
“It is nice to note that the luxurious, elite performance of this four -volume publication has no analogues in world chess literature,” writes in “Word to Reader »Multiple world champion Anatoly Karpov.
The second volume includes two years: 1878-1879.
