Chicadara-Tantra

“Chicadel -Tantra” is a sacred text of a tantric tradition dedicated to the cult of the goddess Tara, revered both in Hinduism and in Buddhism. The place of occurrence of the text is most likely Bengal or the Assam, where the cults of formidable female deities were widespread since ancient times. In Tantra, it is said that the sage of Vasishtha, having failed in ascetic practices, turns to Vishnu in the guise of the Buddha, which produces him prescriptions of the path of Chucada. The basis of this path is transgressive practices, including the veneration of a woman as the embodiment of the goddess.
