Naples, 1946. Seven -year -old America gets on the train and leaves his city along with thousands of other children. The kids leave without relatives, it is not known where, leaving here, although a beggarly, but familiar existence. They are scared and they build the most desperate and terrible assumptions. In fact, children from the south of Italy will cross the entire peninsula and spend the winter in foster families in the north of the country, in warmth, satiety and, as it turned out, in love. Far from his mother and native alleys of Naples, America sees a completely different life, and she promises him the best share. What path will he choose, tearing between love for his mother and a foster family?
