The initial course of the military translation of the Chinese language is the first part of the basic textbook in the discipline "Military translation". Designed for listeners of military schools and military training centers, can also be used as an additional textbook in teaching special courses for translating s/into Chinese. The material of the textbook consists of four main topics that are basic for the professional thesaurus of a military translator: “organizational and staff structure and military ranks”, “military uniform”, “ground forces”, “weapons and the Air Force and the Navy”.

The textbook is aimed at the formation of translation competence, primarily communicative, text-forming and subject-special subcomplete, it is mainly focused on the comprehensive development of the skills of an oral sequential translation in the military sphere.
