Christianity
Klave Steaples Lewis (1898–1963) - an outstanding British writer, author of the famous Chronicle Chronya cycle, the total circulation of which exceeded 100 million copies. However, Lewis is also widely known as the author of philosophical works about Christianity, which largely reflected his personal religious experience. In adolescence, Lewis moved away from faith under the influence of the atheistic views of his teacher, but by the age of 30, now under the influence of the university environment and one of his best friends - John R.R. Tolkien, again turned to the Anglican faith. By the end of his life, he began to lean towards Catholicism and accepted the last communion in the Catholic rite.
The collection includes the three classic works of Lewis in the apologetics of Christianity - “just Christianity”, “Love” and “Suffering”. Klive Steaples Lewis, one of the first Christian philosophers of the twentieth century, put forward the bold idea of “ecumenical Christianity”, not related to a certain confessional affiliation. True faith has nothing to do with the disagreements of various branches of Christianity, and it is in this, according to Lewis, that the essence of “just Christianity” is.
