Christianity and communism. Johnson H.
The author of the book, Hughlett Johnson (1874-1966), is a doctor of theology, a well-known English public figure, rector of the Canterbury Cathedral. In his sermons, he convincingly proves that capitalism and Christianity are incompatible, and the Soviet people, despite all their atheism, realized the commandments of Christ and was closer to God, although he did not believe in Him, but simply lived in accordance with the “principles of communist morality ".
In our country, this book was published twice called" Christians and Communism "in 1957 and 1996. More than half a century has passed since the first publication of the book, but it is relevant to this day. During this period, significant changes have occurred in our country: the Soviet Union has been divorced, the “independent” state has been formed from the former Soviet republics, the priority of private property is introduced in society, competitiveness has become ideology, and the culture is the culture of consumption.
