At the turn of the 20th and XXI centuries, the world community has encountered a global problem that has not only medical, but also great socio -economic significance - pandemia of chronic non -infectious diseases that annually take away millions of lives, lead to severe complications associated with the loss of work capacity and the need for high -cost treatment. Doctors, scientists, practitioners, clinicians accepted this challenge. Medicine of recent decades has achieved great success. Among the achievements are clarifying the etiological factors and pathogenetic mechanisms of a number of diseases, successful development of new approaches to treatment. Russian experts created national recommendations for the identification and correction of risk factors, prevention, diagnosis, treatment and maintenance of KHBP patients, nephro- and cardio-nefrooprotection strategies. The provisions approved in these recommendations fell on the basis of this manual for general practitioners.
