CIA against the USSR. Yakovlev N.N.
Even more than 40 years after writing, the book “CIA against the USSR” amazes the overwhelming concentration of facts and documentaryness. When writing it, the famous Soviet-American historian, Professor Nikolai Yakovlev, actively used sources from the Lubyanka operational library, reconnaissance and fifth controls (political counterintelligence) of the KGB. The permanent leader of the latter Philip Bobkov said: “In fact, the book was born in joint work with Yakovlev. They selected the material, consulted, sketched theses. In this book, the situation associated with the collapse of the Soviet Union was also predicted. ” Among the heroes of the book are the American Central Intelligence Directorate, writer Solzhenitsyn, academician Sakharov. There are many pages about the Solzhenitsyn “Gulag Archipelago”, which Bobkov and Yakovlev were considered not as literature, but as a means of “psychological war”.
