Citadel. Kronin A.
“Citadel”-perhaps the most famous book of Kronin, this is a wonderful topical novel-allege of a person’s life path from his formation and development to the decomposition and decline of a person under the oppression of severe reality. Andrew Manson comes to the first practice in his life with a noble purpose: to help as many people as possible. He sincerely wants to become one of those who can truly glorify medicine. It all starts with a small one, but Andrew does not back down to difficulties: in a provincial town, a young man is listed as an assistant to the doctor, but in fact he himself is a doctor. Such is life and Andrew accepts the call! Little by changing one hospital after another, Andrew makes a dizzying career. However, it becomes difficult to find yourself in one point in one point. A successful doctor is now much less likely to ask global questions about how to change the medical system.
