This book included all the well -known works of L. I. Dobychin, minimalistic, but, at the same time, filled with poetry. Witty, but devoid of causticity, they without embellishment describe the reality of an entire era - from the end of the 19th century to the 1930s. “City En” is a first -person story of the hero’s growing up, whose childhood and adolescence are held in a small town at the dawn of the 20th century. The naive sketches of provincial life prey cleverly puts in the context of the large historical border of centuries.
