Karl Gustav Jung (1875–1961) - Swiss psychologist, psychotherapist, philosopher, sociologist and culturologist - one of the outstanding scientists of the twentieth century, student of Sigmund Freud, founder of analytical psychology and psychotherapy.

A significant part of the present Tom is devoted to the consideration of the origins of global military conflicts that shocked Europe at the beginning and in the middle of the twentieth century. From the point of view of the author, such conflicts are largely due to the psychological crisis that formed in the collective unconscious countries and peoples. In this context, Jung gives an interesting analysis of the collective unconscious Germany, which was the initiator of the two world wars, and gives its forecast to how the complex of collective guilt will affect the future on the moral climate of the whole of Europe.

The collection also included articles on the most diverse problems of our time, in which he reflects on social and political upheavals, about dreams and fantasies that reflect mass aspirations, about what conscience, good and evil in analytical psychology, about mental epidemics and even about UFOs.
