The book is a collection of clinical lectures on obstetrics compiled in accordance with a standard program approved by the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation for medical universities. Over the 10 years that have passed since the first edition of the obstetrician, serious changes have occurred both in the organizational and legislative terms. In the preparation of the second edition, new lectures were added, the text of the rest was updated and rebuilt. The lecture format discusses the issues of the physiology of pregnancy, childbirth and the postpartum period, as well as the main obstetric pathologies.
