Vlas Mikhailovich Doroshevich (1865-1922)-prose writer, publicist, theater critic, whose newspaper and journal publications, court essays, travel notes, literary and theatrical reviews were read out by people of all ages. Working in the 90s in Odessa newspapers, he became popular as the "king of feuilleton." Doroshevich’s fruitful and daily work led to the fact that the readers were looking forward to the next exposure in the newspaper from the author, which was distinguished among others, with a whitish wit, a special manner of aphoristic phrases, unusually simple sentences and a “short line”.

The second volume of the collected works included collections of humorous and Crimean stories.
Volume 3: in Europe; Writers and public figures.
The third volume of the works included collections “In Europe” and “Writers and public figures”.
volume 4: Scene; Court essays; Old Theater Moscow.
The fourth volume of the collected works included the collections “Scene”, “Judicial Essays” and “Old Theater Moscow”.
volume 5: Tales and legends.
In the fifth volume of the works, entertaining fairy tales and legends filled with mythological, folklore motifs and images of the eastern peoples were included.
volume 6: Sakhalin (hard labor)
in the sixth volume of the collection The works of the essays “Sakhalin” were included, where the author draws a reliable picture of the Sakhalin orders and the inhuman atrocities of criminals and their guides, while compiling a number of psychological portraits of individual prisoners.
