Alexander Romanovich Belyaev (1884-1942) - one of the founders of Russian science fiction. By the power of his talent, he painted the future, anticipating the possibility of amazing discoveries and incredible achievements. To date, of Fifty scientific foresight, Belyaev, only three are considered fundamentally impracticable.

In the third volume of the works of the famous science fiction writer A. R. Belyaev, two novels have included: “Ampibity Man” (1928) about a person capable of existing in two elements, but completely not adapted to the realities of human society, and “underwater farmers” (1930) about the difficult life and work of people at an autonomous underwater station.
