From all the posters outside the city, he watches the attentive gaze of the artist’s beloved model, the wife of his best friend, Cecilia Berg. She disappeared fifteen years ago. She slipped away, leaving her husband, two children and questions to which her daughter Rakel is now trying to find answers. And it seems that she managed to find a hint hidden between the lines of the book accidentally falling into her hands. But is it worth it to believe in the words?

Her father Martin Berg spent half a life trying to control the words. The publisher, who once dreamed of a writer’s career, dug in drafts, which in a quarter century did not turn into a novel. And life during this time managed to become a story - a large -scale canvas, from the sixties to the present day. And now the memories lie on the canvases, teasing with bright colors.

Is it really time to take stock? Or is all the most interesting yet to come?
