Comics-2020 world: diaphylm, superheroes, Japanese subculture

The book contains articles of domestic and foreign scientists exploring comics, as well as their animation and film version, in three regions: Russia, the USA and Japan. Each of the three sections covers such approaches to the study of comics as representation of images, historical retrospective, gender research, psychoanalytic concept, narratology, cinematic techniques, etc. The collection was prepared mainly according to the materials of the speeches of the V International Conference “World comics”, on March 14, 2020. The book is addressed to a wide range of readers - academics and specialists of various disciplines, interested in the study of comics from a professional point of view, as well as all fans of Russian, American and Japanese comics.
