The management was compiled on the basis of many years of scientific research on the problem of common decompensated peritonitis with polyorgan deficiency by employees of the faculty surgical clinic named after N. N. Burdenko and teachers of the department of faculty surgery No. 1 of the Institute of Clinical Medicine named after N.V. Sklifosovsky First MGMU named after I.M. Sechenov (Sechenov University). It contains information on the classification, etiology and pathogenesis of acute peritonitis, reflects the features of the clinical course of acute inflammation of the peritoneum at different stages of the disease. Attention was paid to the differential diagnosis of acute peritonitis and pathologies accompanied by pseudoperitoneal syndrome, the treatment tactics are highlighted with a serious illness.
