writer, economist, public figure Lev Mikhailovich Timofeev is often called the last Soviet dissident - he received his prison term “for anti -Soviet agitation and propaganda” already on the eve of perestroika. “Propaganda” consisted in the study by means of scientific journalism, artistic prose and drama of the “supporting structures” of the Soviet system. When the system collapsed, Leo Timofeev in his books continued the study of Russian life - both as an economist and as a writer. The plot of his own life of the author, which required difficult decisions and actions from him, also developed. Now the time has come to summarize, the time of confession. As he himself says: "Life is lived, the book is ready." A worthy life, a worthy book.
