A detective about the activities of Soviet counterintelligence, which neutralized the CIA agent by the nicknamed Smart and tore off the military coup in a fictional African state of Nagonia, is partially based on real events (the so -called gardener) and formed the basis of the multi -part television film (1984), which, like the adaptation of others books of the writer, entered the gold fund of Soviet cinema.
