Consors and days. Proust M.
The debut prose book of Marseille Proust “Consors and Days” (1896) is a literary experiment “Beautiful era”, a manifesto of aesthetic detachment, published in an atmosphere of endless writer's disputes and conflicts. Short short novels of the book are the workshops of sketches and at the same time reflection on the nature of art and the commensuration of art with life. The early book of Proust helps to understand the mechanics of his great novel and at the same time more than once forces to survive delight before the incomprehensibility of the world. In the preface to the publication of the professor of the Russian State Humanitarian University A.V. Markova explains the literary and cultural context of the creation of the book.
